Yep, My long-almos-forgotten project, an UPS...
Today the people at the power company decided to carry maintenance at the lines on my street, so I had the opportunity to test this... thing?!?
It puts out a modified sine wave at 60Hz 120V.
Based around the SG3524 pwm chip..
Photo taken with my N900 tablet, so excuse the lack of quality... :D

Well, it is not complete, it lacks a series of auxiliar/support circuitry like battery monitoring and charging, main waveform synchronization (future revision using microcontroller to get true sine wave output), output voltage control/monitoring, etc...
What I can do though, is post the schematics to the heart of the system the main inverter/driver circuit... Would that be acceptable?
I'm not sure about the ratings on this thing, I'm --guestimating-- this to be below 600VA and having a runtime on 50% load of about 0:40 or 0:50h not very impressive at all, but this transformer I have has multiple taps on the secondary, so probably I could increase the efficiency by increasing battery voltage to 24V or something...
Thanks for stopping by!
