I have never heard term "Dog Days of August", so that dog have nothing to do with it. I made little research ( hallelujah Wikipedia ) and found out here in Finland "Dog Days of August" is called "mätäkuu" ( = rotten month ). Combining these two terms looks good idea for a new artwork ;) Thank you for a civilizing me!
