*ahem* not much to say, 'cept this is a character from the plotbunny o doom that has been eating my brain for two weeks. Original fiction, that has a plot, main characters, enemies, etc, but no title, and I'm not sure how the thing is going to end yet...so...hehe...*shoots self*

Anyway, Seun, despite the fact that he looks fairly calm in the pic, is actually one of those feisty, hot-headed roguish types. This image was sketched in about 3 minutes, originally, on a piece of receipt paper at work. Then, I broke out my brand-spanking-new sketchbook and re-drew it in about 15 minutes...this sucker is only about an inch and a half high...and it's his "neutral" face, for a set of expressions that's going to eventually fill the page. He still looks kinda cocky, I think.

And yanno....I was just thinking, as I was cleaning this up and adding the fun fake background...just how much my style has changed since I was in highschool. Back then, I was skull-deep in anime and manga influences, with gianormous eyes, huge, crazy hair, tiny pointy noses and lipless mouths. And zilch on the expressions. Looking at my recent work, I just have been trying to develop my own style from it, and bring in a degree of realism. I think it's working, so far.
