Oh wow, I JUST now realized I hadn't submitted this yet!
This is Zinnia. She's a red tail black cockatoo, a species native to Australia. The females have a lot of yellow speckles in them with an orangey-red tail, while the males are mostly a solid black with a vibrant red tail. I really wanted to make a bird character, so I decided on this species. A female as well, as they look kind of like phoenixes on their last leg.
When I eventually find the time, I'll be making her into a partial fursuit. Need to work out the mechanics with the head-crest, though...and the wings. She's gonna be too awesome. >D

She's not actually a phoenix. She's a mimic of one. Red tail black cockatoos actually look like burned out phoenixes. XD Here's a pic of a real one: http://photos.zoochat.com/large/200.....0379-40534.jpg
Aaah! Wow, god I love the red-tails! There's a breeder who lives nearby that has the sweetest little baby boy (red-tail) and I actually created a character based off of him. :') This brought a smile to my face, not a lot of people (that I know) even know black cockatoos exist.
