how is this done?

You got some tights and stuff them with rice to make a ball (or some people cheat and get a polystyrene ball), then you wrap it in yarn, then do another few layers in sewing thread. Then you sew patterns on to it using a darning needle ^_^

So how big will the fursuit one be?!? Great idea dude, however, probably fill it with something less heavy than rice when it is bigged up yo!

lol yea will be using a polystyrene ball for the big one otherwise it would be deadly XD Fursuit one will be about 11-12" diametre, or more if i can find a bigger core lol

And could it be used as a plaything for all the fursuits? Not meaning to devalue your efforts but you just know it will happen!

One quick suggestion though. Can you make the ball inflatable instead of a set size such that transportation may prove statially inefficient. I understand space is a premium with flights and fursuits!

hmmm that wouldn't really work unfortunately, as soon as you deflated it the base layer would shift about so the pattern thats sewn into it would fuck up. Plus it would be very easy to pop it by accident when making it XD

I might let some suiters I know play with it, but probably not randoms as I wouldn't want it getting trashed or nicked XD Would let a cute tiger play with it though ;)
