Part of a story, done with a friend of mine, before Fullmetal Alchemist changed how everyone viewed alchemy and made our story a total pain in the ass when people would shoot in with "but that's now how it's done!" We researched REAL alchemy not do a little research then make up a ton of fantasy around it..
*takes a breath* ANYWAY, the story here is the woman was struck with an illness that made her incapable of having a child, she always wanted one and was informed about alchemy and that it could give life where there was none before, she studied, she searched, and eventually she succeeded.. but it was not as she hoped, the homuculi she created was only a body for a being who had been coming into this world to cause trouble for time untold. A demon if you would. He would grant her a wish, but in turn would take her soul. Killing her the moment she made her wish...
Just, she didn't make the wish he thought she would.
Heheh, it was a fun story and one of these days I really should write it up, especially if my friend who helped me create the world the story is in is willing to let me. :)
