oh, you just made me think of Strawberry Chapel D8 *shivers*....its so scary and its nearby, during the revolutionary war, patriots were slaughtered in the church and there blood stained the walls, and the story goes, that they keep painting the walls white but the blood stains seep through.....its super haunted
we also have a place called Lighthouse Road (not near a lighthouse) its where a girl ran away and was hit by a train....at night, you can see the lantern the father was carrying looking for her child and here noises that sound like a train slamming on its brakes.....there are no people around and the rail line has been abandoned for decades
I love ruins like that, the old stone churches, abbeys and castles, their remains standing overgrown and defiant to the creep of time. the ghosts of the old world laid bare upon the shattered relics.
There's an old graveyard here that is now part of our public park system, the last person to be laid to rest there was over a century ago, but on one tiny city block lay the remains of 30,000 of our city's inhabitants, it's a very interesting place to go, the hundred year old trees tower above the two hundred year old graves.
