Twist in the Myth + Inks
I need to find a way to color stuff.
Doing ink pictures like these are easy enough these days, but I can't find the will to sit and color them. Maybe if we HAD markers down here...;_;
Anyways, just your usual were...dragon. Yep.

Weredragon! Not something you see everyday. While the city sleeps, the weredragon terrorizes the night skies of [home city here].
I like the way everything is inked and crisply defined. I can make out little details like the wristwatch and still get the subtleties of the hazy aura around the moon in the sky.
At first, I was having size/perspective issues. It looked like the weredragon was gigantic, seated across the top of one of the buildings. As I looked closer, though, the thing he's on seems to be more of a stone pillar? Also, shredded clothing still clinging to him would reason that he has grown in size somewhat, but not to true draconian proportions or anything.
I sometimes color black and white images using Gimp. Nothing fancy, just flat color with maybe a bit of texture thrown in for fun. I think this image would look pretty good with some flat color behind it. The nighttime scene would mean lots of dark colors and light play, which could be a little tricky, but would be neat to experiment with. Maybe I'll take a crack at coloring this sometime, if I get a chance. :)

Yeah, mostly because at first the background was supposed to be a stone field of sorts...even the clothing scraps and the lil' watch were added later. So it's...well, kind of rushed. And I thought making that stone thing a building would involve alot of detail and a way to get rid of the already-drawn clothing...so I left it like that. :3
For coloring, i'll probably go on the usual path of base color->shading->details, nothing absurdly amazing. I'm even thinking of trying some other software I didn't try, maybe GIMP or SAI or whatever.
