This awesome (and quite colourful, too) piece of work is awesome. But enough of my redundant redundancy. :P It is also 3 years in the making and involving 4 different people. :)

First off, I should say that this is a commission. Secondly, the character is Windrunner, my half-girl/half-winged-horse hybrid who I usually refer to as a pegataur for ease, but more correctly is a winged centaur. So that's me, one person.

Having come up with an idea for a character in my head and how she would look, I commissioned  bbmbbf to draw the original character design sheet for me. You can see it in my gallery.

Later, I commissioned  footpaw-fetish to draw a picture for me, of Winni (she's okay with the nickname, I asked her ^_~) slipping on a spilled bottle of cooking oil in a kitchen. He gave me a sketch of how he saw the scene playing out, but then reality did it's usual mean business of getting in the way. FPF asked to drop out of the commission, understandably as he was busy with more important things. Hey, art is just art - real life is way more important. ^^

Eventually though, I met and got in contact with  railride, and I asked him to take a look at the sketch that FPF had done for me and see if he could finish the pic off. Really, I wanna commission him someday to draw a centaur or taur-like character from scratch, not just finish off another person's art, but hey...baby steps. ;) He took a look, and after much deliberation decided to first off amend the anatomy. He (and I) learnt a lot about the anatomy of horses and how their legs bend and move. :)

....and that's how Windrunner finally went skidding across that kitchen floor. ^_^
