THERE ARE 17 (+1) EFFECTS IN HERE. Don't just click away is the first one ain't that impressive.
We're currently working with particle systems, so I put this together.
It's still a WIP, so I might add more features.
Controls:
Always:
[<--] and [-->] to go to the next / previous effect. (That's the left and right arrow buttons).
[Space] to toggle automatic effect looping. (30 secs per effect).
On the "Vortex", "Star Zoom", "Star Rotate" and "Smoke" ([b]bold) effects:
[+] / [-] to increase / decrease the amount of particles / stars spawned (More = heavy on your PC, of course)
[S] Sections - Toggle colourisation per sector.
[R] Random - Toggle random colourisation.
[F] Flickering - Toggle the stars' flickering.
[B] Blur - Toggle motion blur. warning: heavy! Especially when combined with flickering / random colour.
On the "Torches", "Vortex" and "Epedemic" (underlined) effects:
Click and drag within the screen, to move the torches, carriers, or vortex center point.
[R] to reset the "Epedemic"
On the "Langtons And" and "Game of Life" (italic) effects:
Click and drag on the screen to draw.
[P] or [Pause] to Pause the effect.
[R] Clear the area on the "Game of life", and reset the ants on "Langtons Ant"
On the "Spirograph" (Bold+italic) effect:
[P] Cycle trough Presets.
[R] Generate a random Spirograph.
If you open the flash app in a seperate window, and display it on 100%, you will be able to see a bunch of additional info, as well as a few fields on the "Spirograph" effect, to enter your own values.
(So you'll have to see what's outside of the normally rendering box)
Please keep in mind that it takes a moment for the changes to become visible. The new settings are applied to freshly spawned particles only.
Also, this application is not yet entirely stable. It may be a good idea to open it in a new window, in case it suddently sucks up all your CPU power :P
