I've always wondered... if the Ditto copies your pokèmon exactly, then why does it become the other gender at the Daycare Center?
It never does in the field... Dittos you capture must be hard-up or something...

While it may be true that Dittos normally change into an exact copy, it is my guess that under these circumstances, when it copies Meowth's genetics, it can find the genes for a female in order to satisfy Meowth's urges. X3

i love ditto but at daycare it is the tramp of poke"mon but helps when you like to breed ninetails and eevie or how ever you spell that

I caught a Level 5 Ditto in Pokemon Silver.

By the time I finally collected it, I think it was about Level 40.
