I can´t put my finger on why, though, so I´ll just leave this here and see later, maybe I´ll find out.

Fringeworlds Militaries tied into the Empire of Csye, the celestial courts, are among the most powerful military entities in the entirety of csye. Because of their proximity to often contested areas, they are constantly bound up in conflict, and so can constantly test and improve their tactics, equipment and training. While heartworlds priories have exceptionally high tech and quality equipment, the fringeworlds priories usually have more down to earth, easy to maintain, and focused gear: their equipment hasn´t been designed from battle projections, wargames, computations and distant after action reports, but first hand experience.

As such, they are a feared enemy among the pirates and star nations who share borders with the csye.

Organizations in these militaries are also, usually, vastly different from the highly standardized structure of the heartworld priories. Rank structure and chain of command have been shaped and reformed constantly upon battle experience and input from the warriors themselves. As such, most commanding officers in these militaries are hand picked from the ranks, put trough dedicated training courses. Depending on the locality, the officers then take back their new training experience to their units and train them themselves, while in other places there are dedicated training programs for entire units, up to army-scale and theater scale wargames and live-firing exercises such as those held on white harbour.

This particular Officer is a member of 116th MCP, 3rd Parade of central military district of OGC-9204, locally known as Uly-Uly. Flag on his shoulder is that of his home district, his rank of Galatier (Which would approximately equal the rank of Captain in most human militaries) displayed on the throat-tab. Camouflage pattern is a local variation of the fairly common OGC-Pat A.
