This was fun, and I tried something different with shading. I dunno how well it works though, especially with the background. Kinda screwed up my light source I think, but I'm still trying to figure things out.
For those who care about such details, the mouse in the picture isn't Mal; it's his dad, Galen.

Wow, that's like glaringly obvious, and I somehow missed it. D:
Thanks. I guess I should try to fix it. I think what I did was I was thinking more of an overhead light source when I shaded him, and then did the ground a few days later, so I wasn't paying as much attention or something.
