A new character of mine, named Matthias Gideon, was a plague doctor while he was alive. His spirit has wandered the world, with each passing month on this plane, he has manifested quite physically. Normal people can touch and feel him as if he had a body. Except, he has no pulse, no warmth. Matthias' goal in his psuedo life is taking plague, illness, and disease from those who he deems deserving. One must either be innocent or have done some great deed in their lifetime. The people you see on TV or hear about how "God healed them" or "It's a miracle my cancer is in permanent remission" yadda yadda, it was Matthias who took it from you.
