Pretty much finished up all his tattoo designs save for his back piece. So decided to draw something up to show them a bit, that wasn't a reference.

Also, I figure I have now created a character who will never recieve a single scrap of fanart due to the complexity of his tattoos lmao T__T

HELL YEAH. Tribal tats FTW. Are these Hawaiian or Samoan based? They look much more Samoan though, just saying. I come from a island with many men who have these sort of tats.
Lovely guy you got there though, his design is quite epic. Don't see many "unique" critters here on FA nowadays IMO. the tats are unique to him that's for sure.

Yes, the tattoos are predominantly Samoan based. He has a full traditional Samoan Pe'a tattoo, covering his lower body.
The shoulder piece is a bit more hawaiian in nature, while the arm sleeve is again more Samoan.
He has a back piece which isn't shown, but that one has more of a Maori style look to it.
So his tattoos are very much an accumulation of multiple polynesian cultures.

Finally someone who recognizes it. I've incorporated that tattoo symbol into a few characters (Have it myself in real life too)
Not once have I come across someone who knew where it was from. Although I believe the established spelling is Sevalle, it's hard to say given the wonky translation jobs on both the OVAs and the series xP
