Alister and Edgar are (obviously) raised in a canine culture. In my comic, dog culture emphasizes the importance for family and respect for family a lot. With this comes an emphasis of how one should not speak negatively of their family in public.
Unfortunately, Alister and Edgar have a strained relation with their family, for reasons that will be later explained.
