I decided to work on a vector series, in which I take animals with mostly negative things attached to them, and give them a positive virtue. A list of what animals/virtues I'm going to work on can be found on my tumblr.
Here is Spider! Spiders to me have always been the epitome of creativity. This one here is based off an Orb Weaver spider, who builds webs with a zig zag pattern down the middle. They just put so much care into their webs, and if they hate it they will tear it down and start again! They are pretty much little buggy artists! There's a spider that lives in my bathroom, and it's fun to watch these guys spin webs. So Artists should really look up to spiders and admire them, we're pretty much the same!
Next in the series will be the vulture!

I love seeing Orb weavers, they always bring a smile to my face when I see their beautiful webs, also did you know the zig-zag pattern is based off when the female is getting ready to form an egg sack, such an interesting facet of their sadly short lives. though Im following yas doe to the fact your planning on doing bats in a positive light which they generally dont get.
Thanks! Yes I love orb weavers, they're so helpful in keeping pests away!
And yeah, bats don't get a good rep, but they are vital in both pollinating plants/keeping bad insects down. Bats are also loving mothers, and I kinda want to show that. So hence the 'shelter part', they wrap up their babies in their wings to keep them safe :3

*noddles* I agree fully, though I was somewhat bullied into appreciating spiders and snakes from a neighbor back home who I helped in her greenhouse when I was younger and learned to appreciate spiders and snakes,
And Bats, I love em so much, but then again my fursona is a bat as well so I could be fairly one sided in my opinion.
