It's a fucking AK knock off, don't beat around the bush.

No it isn't, it only resembles an AK, there are no interchangeable parts (not even the magazines are compatible) and the mechanism is more like a rifle-scale version of the Walther P38.

It doesn't matter if it's compatible or not. It's a knock-off. It's not the "real McCoy". The reason it resembles the AK so well is most likely for user compatibility.

Who cares about the "real mcCoy" when the AK itself is just a piece of crap the Soviets churned out in the millions because it was cheap to manufacture?

The 58 is a much better weapon, greater range and accuracy, more ergonomic pistol grip, a safety you can use without taking your hand off the grip, the list is endless.

It all depends on how you look at it. The AK-47 was designed so that a child could pick it up and use it. It was designed to be cheap and effective. Not too accurate, but when you can throw 30 7.62x39mm bullets down range which have enough kenetic energy to pass through a cinder block wall and still put a hole the size of a softball in your chest, in about 6 seconds, nothing can really compare. The weapon was designed to be able to be burried for 6 months and shat on and cleaned out and still fire first shit...too simple...too effective...too good...nothing can compare which is why everyone wants to look like the AK-47.

The 58 uses exactly the same ammunition and has the same cartridge capacity, not to mention that most of the parts are milled rather than stamped so they have a longer service life. The 58 is no more an AK copy than the AK is a Sturmgewehr copy.

It all depends on how you treat your weapon, is how long it lasts. And the AK was modeled after about 3 different weapons to include the Sturmgewehr.
