"After Kindrake left, Van walked over to his daughter and looked down at her children...... his grandchildren. "...They're beautiful..." He complimented. He wasn't sure what to say to possibly comfort his daughter. He didn't think there was anything he could say to make her feel better.

Amethyst looked down at her children before looking up at her father, tears still streaking down her cheeks. "....The... one that's missing..... She.... she looked like you... I... I was going to name her Opal..." She said before a sob choked her.

He realized that he indeed had made a mistake, that Kindrake was right and he had been a fool. He had been so worried about protecting his daughter that he had turned a blind eye to the fact that Kindrake was right for her. He had ignored the fact that his daughter had fallen in love and had hurt her in more ways than one when he rejected her choice.

Van pressed his head against her's touching her nose with his. "...I'm sorry Amethyst... This is my fault..." He said. Amethyst looked down and took a deep shaky breath. "....It's not your fault father. I know you were just worried about my safety. I've been a fool for running away.... This is my fault.... Now Opal may be..." Another sob choked her and she couldn't finish the sentence as she cried more.

Van stepped back, frowning. "We will find her." He told Amethyst before leaving to help Kindrake to search for Opal. He knew his wife would comfort Amethyst and help her bring the remaining cubs back to their home. "
