I believe this is the last one on the east coast that still is functions their was one till 2009 near me now its all mechanical your not allowed inside. The owner says "I believe this lighthouse is older than 200 years"

we have 2 famous light houses here in Charleston but the more famous of the 2 is the Morris Island Lighthouse.....its been abandoned for a while now, and all thats left is the tower.....also, lanterns are supposed to attract spirits 83

ok?......the Morris Island Lighthouse is a relic....it has the classic black-and-white stripes, but the paint is peeling, showing the red brick underneath....it almost looks rusty....the lighthouse is just an empty shell now
