Yup, I saw her an hour before she burned too. When we heard about what happened we drove by and saw the husk of what was once a beautiful aircraft burned to ash.

Yeah, it about made me sick when i first heard of what happened and it started as a small insignificant fire too one that could of been put out real quick but since it was in that field, the fire department wouldn't bring their trucks out to it saying the surface was too soft. I'm a member of the AMA "Academy of Model Aeronautics" and I'm also an aircraft mechanic so it hit me pretty hard :(

I'm also a member of the AMA, AOPA, EAA, and CAF. Haha. It really was tragic. I'm a pilot myself.

Cool :) its nice to see Furry pilots in general, I'm fixing to start on my LSA certificate soon too. I've been in R/C since the late 70's. I've flown just about everything R/C with wings or rotor blades, I'm currently only flying R/C helicopters and running cars.

Hello! I realize you posted this ages ago, but I thought I'd respond to it. I made a new account, so that's why I never responded to this one. Anyways, I also fly RC, but I wasn't on this earth in the 70's :3 I have some cars but I'm getting out of the hobby and moving towards EDF jets and scale warbirds for the most part. Also a full scale pilot, I fly a '56 C172!
