I actually wrote them with a guitar-based beat in mind. It's basically this riff repeating:

(Numbers in parentheses are beats. For example, (1) = quarter note)

Basically that, with variations in syncopation, rhythm, and jazzy improvisations throughout. And during the first half of the chorus ("Afraid to go"..."American nightmare"):

(Repeat for C, G, Bb)

Then back to the more relaxed rhythm.
