He's not in the whole villian scheme to get rich. He's in it for fun. He sees supervillany as the next 'extreme sport' and so he uses his vast knowedge of lubricants to rob, kidnapp, sow chaos and above all else... take pictures of female superheros squirming about in a large pool of oil with their semitransparent oil-drenched clothing sticking to their bodies.
