Gotta think there are going to be these mundane
moments between two lovers (lupine and lapine
notwithstanding). Just something ordinary,
nothing dramatic.
But it will prompt a few memories to resurface.
Good ones, as it happens. . .
(As for what happened on the wedding night,
that's for another sonnet. :- ) )

On A Memory (#13)
A contrast here, to how she looked that day.
The ceremony was just odd to see.
A happy one, of course, but I can say
Blonde bunnies and her sisters really squee.
Well heck: a wedding. They had lots of cause.
Me, walking all day footpaws in mid air.
To someone looking in, though, they would pause,
The church a sight quite strange, reason to stare.
The wolves on right, the bunnies left, pews full.
Two fur clans joined by our twin bonds of troth.
But oh, how muzzles fought down hungry drool.
The young ones worst, lupine or lapine both.
Mud spattered, she dumps carrots in the sink.
“Fought back,” she sighs. More beautiful, I think.
