They're "fallow-me" eyes; it's an optical illusion, when the suiter wears the fursuit, it gives the illusion that the suit is looking at them no matter where they stand. :3

that's somewhat creepy but also somewhat awesome.

I'm reminded of the old Rafiki toy from Mcdonalds that constantly stared at you from the toybox D:
