I've been reading the best of H. P. Lovecraft's stories and have been greatly inspired by him to draw the creatures that he describes. This creature is inspired by his story "The Nameless City". This race has no name, but they once thrived in a coastal city, which one day was ruined due to the ocean receding and their once coastal home is now a desert. During the time they also grew to hate man. Now what is left of their race dwells deep underground in their nameless city, hidden away from man.

"And THAT, my friends, is why you always carry a gun with you when exploring ancient ruins!
What? No, don't be silly, it's not to shoot him! It's to put a bullet in your own brain before he catches you! :D"
BRILLIANT work! I love H.P. Lovecraft's works, and I love the way you made this particular design come to life!
