I decided to work on a vector series, in which I take animals with mostly negative things attached to them, and give them a positive virtue. A list of what animals/virtues I'm going to work on can be found on my tumblr.
Alligators to me represent the virtue of Patience. They will float for hours and hours in the water, patiently waiting for prey to wander within striking range of their jaws. Plus Alligators (along with crocodiles) are amazing in that their design is so perfect, they literally have not changed in millions and millions of years. These guys were eating dinosaurs! At least their direct ancestors are.
Next up will be the spider! I think this is going to be a fun series.

That is such a shame, because crocodiles are just so incredibly beautiful. I guess people just don't like drawing them because they aren't a very popular animal/furry, which is awful.
If It wasn't patience, I would have picked tenderness (but i plan to make a scorpion pic to this). People just don't know that crocodiles are loving mothers, but well patience won out on this one!
