OK so what we have here is a cover of a San Fran band: Chrome... this is the 3d track of their album Half-Machine-Lip-Moves, from God's year AD 1978.
What you hear now, is my Sept 25 2011 version, this was done hastily in about 3 or 4 hours of a creative flash, when my coyote Muse came unto me.
Fortunately the song itself sounds best when done as garage-music... Altho the original is much better (and done on 1978-vintage 8 track TAPE equipment) I gotta say, my quick 4 track digital spooj sounds nearly as wild, lacking only detail. This is a monoaraul mix, not stereo...
There is not much equipment used here. Just a Strat guitar, an Alesis drum machine, a Fender Mustang II amp, an older Digitech RP150 box, a gaggle of cables, and Coyote wits. ( O I love being Coyote - I can be smart and stupid SIMULTANEOUSLY! ) The actual recorder is one of those teeny TEAC TASCAM DP-004's, and the only microphones used were the little condensor-mics integral to the DP-004. Note that no MIDI or DAW stuff was used. -OK- so I used Audacity to pinkypie/convert from a WAV to a MP3 so hit me with yer rhythm stick, guy! (Girls, hitties me w/ yer titties! )
Expect more of this shenanigan and a few others. This is only a work-in-progress.
BTW, Helios, if you find this, I am honored, it's a tribute to you and Damon, indeed!
