I lost the cord that connects my camera to my computer so this pieced together, shoddy scanned version will have to do until I buy another cord. It's depressing how bad this looks here compared to what it looks like IRL. So much detail has been lost.
Anyways, this was commissioned by a lady I met at our local coffee house. I took the commission due to the fact that the lady was very open minded with what she liked art wise. She wanted a more simple looking geisha with small, intricate detailing. She even listed what colors she'd like me to use, which were all included in the painting. I'd say 75% of the detailing was lost in the scanning process. There is metallic gold paint and green,orange,aqua,and silver glitter lining her kimono, the flowers, and her hair ornament. This painting is 11"x14" in size. I put a clearcoat on and framed it. Original price was $80 but with much surprise she paid an extra $40 when I delivered it to her and was very happy with it. I was not happy with either the original price nor her paying me extra. Especially since I really enjoyed working on this. Normal charge for something like this would be a max of $40 but she said I was "cheating myself" and you can't argue with elder ladys.
