A long tale of love and jealousy had one particular Bt-R maintenance GYN-01D caught in the rage of an invincible Legendary Machine. Though her AI core was intact, her body was damaged far beyond repair, a hideous lump of half-melted scrap. Despite the fact that it would normally be beyond his scope of interest, Jericho Slartibarfest, the Supreme Commander of G-Force opted to personally design a new body for the poor gynoid. Some would say he did it for the publicity, others say he did it out of kindness of his heart. However, neither is correct. He had no particular fondness of Shasta, and he desired no more good praise after all of G-Force's success.

Shasta herself is very hard to dislike. Her altruistic attitude propels both herself and those around her forward. She cares mostly about others, but rarely gets appreciation for it, however. Most can indeed hear her, but none of them are listening. Though she tries not to let it get to her, sometimes she can't help but cry in a corner and wonder what she is doing wrong. Is she the only one that is unheard? Is that to be expected of a mass-produced gynoid?
That is what she came to believe in firmly for the longest time. (in machine years, which pass faster than dog years) That is however, until she was invited to a party that celebrates a partnership between her "parent" manufacturer and a self-defense organization. The proceeding dance went as she expected, everyone else having a partner while she is left alone...or so she thought. By the pure chance of a sideways glance, she catches eye of the only other person left without a companion, and the two began to approach each other. Though doubtful at first, they were practically destined for one another.
