When the races first started to group together, they were forced underground by the harsh and dangerous conditions on the surface. Over the years, they got good at building down.

This particular town is located a days trek from the ruins of a major human city. When it was first founded, it was nothing but a ravine. These days, it's a multi-level community in almost complete safety.

This is the main ravine section with it's roof and lake at the bottom, with a human model for size comparison. There are two offshoot caverns with more buildings in. As it stands, the model has the main components now in place, and the next stage is adding individual details and styles to every one of the 70+ buildings.
