And like I said~ we're now back on with the second shoot~
We've been trying our best to work on this together for you guys...although it's difficult trying to find times for us all to even meet up on ^^;
Rusty seems to have gotten home now, directly from his long day at the 'interview' you all just witnessed. It seems he has a little friend! :D

I can see a lot of differences in facial construct, and it looks like the artist is still trying to get a feel for making his face. He looks a lot more feline here though, But I have to give the artist a TON of grace, those were some big shoes to be filling, and I think in a couple pages they'll get a better feel for his features and will be a bit more consistent. The differences even between just entering the door and the zoom in are quite dramatic, even with very little posture change, I'm sure they'll get better, it will be fun to watch. Besides, we're here for the story just as much, if not more, than the art. :)
Wow, I just went back to the first pages of the first chapter.. I don't think we've realised just how much the drawing style has matured since the first pages. They've really come a long way, and I don't doubt the new artists will too. In the first chapter Rusty looked a lot more Foxen.. so I think this is bringing him more towards his true breed mix.
I like the change in this character, now it looks more cat than the previous shoot. But to get a good opinion we must wait a bit... this is only the first page.
About onomatopoeia, this is something that this artist can improve a little more... in this page, they looks like another character and not like part of the scene.
The line of the character and style of draw of this page are good.

I'll wait until several strips later down the line to make a more detailed opinion about the new art style being used in this latest chapter, but I'm actually liking it so far. :) There's definitely more detailed structure about Rusty's face, for instance, in how it shows his muzzle to help him look more like a feline character and how there's more detail added to Rusty's fur to make its fluffy texture stand out more (most notably at his elbows, tail, and facial cheekbones).
