this is my old pet wolf spider Serena her fangs is removed do not worry. she was gift from family memeber from the states. she died in her sleep last year. she was sweet

I was never bit and my relative told me this I am probably wrong. IS it normal or is my relitive mistaken??

Well i have never heard of spiders being defanged. Spiders need there fangs to eat otherwize it would be practicaly impossable for the spider to consume food. Dont forget they digest it befot eating it and they need fangs in order to do that. To my knowledge anyway.

I'm fairly certain a spider cannot survive its fangs being removed.

That being said, Wolf spiders rarely bite and can be quite docile if handled correctly. However they can bite if handled roughly or provoked.

The bite isn't serious though.

I understand. spiders is scary to most. i think they are cute. she is my first and only spide however.
