after many years of experimenting i finally have a ship i am happy with, i still want to refine the details .

The Gull is a B type Legacy ship "galleon class" name for it Gullwing shaped main sail but sometimes referred to as a flying trashcan.

Legacy ships are the technorganic ship that built the craft that built the original void gate network.

The gull being one of the rare ship that can enter eatherspace with out assistance makes it very valuable... atleat if it wasent in such a horrible state.

a good half of the ship's space is taken up by the eather drive and support hardware.
second is the main hanger deck , it could at once supported an entire fighter wing and support craft but do to damage and neglect , the hanger is only 30% functional , atleast the null gravity spot between the drive pods still works and the catapult is mostly reliable.

Cargo capacity is massive but again to to the decrepit stat of the ship actual managing that is difficult .

the gull is equipped with a battery of old stile plasma cannons capable of a devastating broadside but unreliable in the best of times , the gull does have some point defense lasers but the ship real fighting power is the small wing of fighters and armorframes .

the Gull once did have ample crew capacity but because of radiation shielding concerns and the awful state of the ship most of the crew have to double up in rather cramp conditions in the still useable cabins.

while the ship is old and in bad shape it is fast and have long legs , capable of delivering cargo several jump away in a single go saving months of travel.

a lot of the ship's history is unknown , what has been gusset at is the ship was some sort of one of a kind prototype for some sort of special mission.

The young lady called Clair is the ship organic core , is the ship Claire or is She the ship is a difficult question to answer.

the ship at one time was in the possession of Silk Faykin's grandmother and may have been instrumental in the Free trader's guild founding.
Decades later Silk inherited the ship , hieing a team of merks to aide her in taking down her lost inheritance and fighting off pirates to the prize.
the ship was found deraleck in an asteroid field, unable to restore the ship on her own a deal was broken with the free trader's guild , the guild fronted the funds and resources to restore the Gull to function and provide a crew in exchange for them joining the guild with her ship, the deal ended up a poor investment for the guild, the Gull ended up way more repairs than the Gull was worth.

the guild just did not want to sink more resources but did not want to let go of it's investment until it recuperated it's losses.
The guild did provide a crew but the gull became a dumping ground for the guild's undesirable officers.

in debt up to her eyeball and with a ship full of the most eccentric group of individuals your ever going to see , there on a mission to rediscover the galaxy , and keep out of debt .


Q&A why is the crew all female , the official answer is that the organic nature of the ship seems to only respond from input from females , an other more unusual theory is that the ship itself chooses it crew , how , nobody knows but the ship seems to form a psychic connection with it crew.
