That's the first one done! I'll stream the other one most likely starting tomorrow evening. We'll be doing a feathered raptor that time~ Thanks to everyone who joined in on the stream and watched the process from beginning to end. This guy is 3 feet tall and done in watercolour pencil on Stonehenge paper. We spent 6 hours on it last night and 4 hours today, making this a 10 hour long work. *Rubs hands*
Also, to anyone who figures the original pencil work looked better before adding the watercolour... Weeeell, I'll probably agree with you on that. There's a lot more clarity to the pencil work 'cause watercolor just can't compare with sharpness. However, the finished piece is at least 3x more vibrant and all the hues come out in a nice blend. The pencil work had to be saturated digitally to even really be visible, the watercolour did not.
Each has its own merit, I think.
