Heavy cotton (or otherwise cellulose pulp free) paper, I'd wager. Perhaps with some antibacterial and antifungal additives mixed in. This kind of paper will not deteriorate if stored in ordinary conditions, so I don't think there is a reason to go on for less traditional materials.

That reminds me of my friend Matt in Fort Worth TEXAS. He can't resist book sales, and will trade whole milk crates full of books for more. I've gotta get serious and see about retrieving my "Library" and reference materials from the storage unit in the desert, 400 miles away.
ooooo now this is a cool :) *smiles and claps* very nice :) always nice to see books even in the far future. but then again both Kirk and Picard had books too an they are supposely form the far future *giggles* and the star trek universe and the chakat universe have there similars and differences so hey possible :)
