-Cade SkywalkerMy long overdue half of a trade with marcusstarkiller. He wanted me to do an anthro version of Cade Skywalker, so that's what you see here. He's definitely a mutt...mixture of domestic and wild dog breeds, but I think it suits him. I designed him taking into consideration that he's Luke's descendant, and my Luke Skywalker is a jackal/sheltie mix, and Marcus suggested that there be some red fox in there since he designed Mara Jade as one. Probably a little bit of other breeds in there too, but, yeah. He's a space mutt.

Oh yes, this character is DEFINITELY not a traditional Jedi at all. Definitely in that gray area. Thanks so much. I'm trying to pay more attention to more hard lined things in my work such as weapons and armor detail. I'm a girl, and I love pretty things like faces, expressions, trees, FLUFFY TAILS, and such...but I need to branch out and do less organic stuff as well.

I tried to look for things to comment on constructively, but nothing really jumps out at me. I guess...well, the lack of shading on the pic makes the inside of the coat and his tail converge into a big white blob that keep stealing my eyes away from the details. That's about it.

MUST... resist... urge to fave all the Wielder art ever fff!! To be honest I never knew about this Cade fellow, I'm only familiar with the 6 movies but damn wasn't it fun to read about him, very cool guy! And of Mara Jade... and Ben Skywalker... omfg I totally never knew there were this many Skywalkers right now (but d'aww, it just breaks my heart to hear Luke dies in any type of fiction AU or not, he will alwaaays be immortal to me, rofl)!
But um enough about that... look at this! This is so awesome omfg, I'm such a horndog for tattered trenchcoats and all that, he's really got such a scraggly and rogue look about him, ALSO I WANT TO ROLL AROUND IN HIS HAIR FOREVER lol, it really suits him. So cool, I love his angry fais!

I don't know much of Cade myself since I stopped reading the novels YEARS ago, but, from what I've seen of him, I like him. Definitely not your typical Force Sensitive.
I know, I dun like hearing of Luke dying either. Luke will always have a special place in my heart.

Cade is by far my favorite Skywalker, he's the only one that doesn't really whine and is willing to do what needs to be done. He actually acts more like a Solo then a Skywalker, now if they would only get it out of their heads that he HAS to be a Jedi and leave him more in the grey like was when he first appeared.

Yeah, it's almost like they think that you HAVE to be a Jedi to be a GOOD guy or something. There are plenty of characters in the SW universe that aren't Jedi and who aren't necessarily lily-white in the morals department who still manage to do the right thing when it comes down to it. Really, those usually end up being the more interesting characters.

It's not just that, it's like EVERY Skywalker HAS to be a Jedi. Someone's always telling them that they dont' get a choice which irritates the hell out of me since if the Skywalker in question always ends up following that path (or being forced into a position where they have to).
Being able to use a lightsaber and a blaster just sounds like an excellent idea. The first time a Sith gets surprised by a Jedi drawing a backup blaster would be one hilarious thing to see.
Oh, even better: Repeat Han's bar scene with Cade.
"What are you king to do, Jedi? By the time you draw your saber and stand to assault me, I'll put 5 bolts into you."
"You have a point." *fires under the table, then walks to the bar* "Sorry about the mess."
Anyway, he just looks badass. Really no other way to say it.
I want that trench coat, dammit. Time to add to Jace's wardrobe.
