A quick sketch I did last night that I'll probably ink and color just for the practice. Critique is very welcome as this is really my first attempt at a "large" background in years and years. I didn't start off with any vanishing points but I did try to put a few in there as the image went along. Any help as to how to adjust any failings in this piece would be most welcome.

beautifuly done peice. The dynamics of teh cape and sword are excellent. the city in teh background is fine, I don't think you need to do anything with it, however, I had trouble telling it was a female, and I had trouble visualizing *WHAT* it is she was falling off of or about to fall off of. But as a peice it stands very well as it is. Beautifully done!
I like how the hilt of the sword seems to have a face, regardless if you look at top-down or bottom-up. I don't know if that was intentional, but very interesting. And I have to agree with others about the quick sketch thing. If this is a 'quick sketch', I eagerly await the finished piece. Something like this would take me day if not weeks to do :P
Glad ya liked it. Yes. The face thing was intentional. The character (Canis) has been without a story for some time and I took great liberties on her design a couple times. I went as far as to make her look as if she were being controlled by something demonic (IE: her gauntlet) which in tern granted her a set of horrific armor and that sword.
