Wanted to give everyone an update on the lighting I'm putting into my rave fursuit.
As I'm a lion, I couldn't help but arrange the parts in the form of a cat face. (Its looking at you)

The kit I'm putting together for my suit is going to cost me about $900-1200 but can be remade for about $500. (Ball park guess, could cost a lot less, note me if you have interest in this product. Price dependent on what you want)

My kit is modular. You can plug one micro-controller into any part of the suit and control all your electronics (Including add \-ons).

What you see: (Lighting for head and front paws)
In the picture you see 14 RGB LEDs, costing about $8 a piece. I've individually shrink wrapped every lead to show what color LED each pin lights up. The LEDs attached to the eyes are low profile LED Lamps for extra brightness. The casted eyes and whiskers where commissioned out, but all the pin wrappings are mine. I now have the equipment to make the whiskers for future kits. Each loose LED will be in one of the clear claws in each paw and can be adjusted to be any color of your choosing.

What you don't see:
(Forgot to order LEDs for my hind paws, so 10 LEDs aren't in the picture)
The control boards are still under development and should be ordered within 2 weeks.
I will be assembling the boards myself.

Planned Features:
->Individually control every LED color in the suit from one micro controller.
->4 wires run the power and data communications.
->4 total light weight batteries, 2 on each hind paw will power the full suit including fans.
-->Provides 800mA at 5V per location (head and each paw)
-->Provides 9A peak draw at 6-6.4V total to full suit.
-->Suit can be fully powered for about 2-5 hours depending on what is on.

Please provide feedback if you have any comments or ideas. This project is going to be about the cost of my suit, but it should be rather cool being able to change all the colors on my suit for some flashy rave effects.
