She is a generally kind hearted and unassuming woman who had a history in nursing. However after a disagreement with some of the doctors, as well as the handling of a patient... She lost her job. She quietly lived her life trying to find a job for some time, forced to live on welfare as nobody would take her. Ever since the incident, she has been considered too overqualified to work in most places and considered to be too much of a liability to get a good job as a nurse.

She has a southern temperament and sound to her voice, akin to places like that of Alabama and Texas in the states. Her kindness has led to many incidents where people have attempted to take advantage of her. Her looks got her into a bad business and for a while she contemplated selling her body on the streets to make ends meet, as life was getting harder and things were beginning to get quite dim for her.

--Personality, behaviour and the way the character thinks
Hariett is often too willing to trust for her own good, and goes back to people who have hurt her in the past thinking that things can still work out. This is in fact how she lost her job. The incident caused her a lot of guilt and she often second guesses her ability, causing her to slip up on simple tasks due to fear. When serious however she is efficient and very capable. With a generally happy demeanour, she keeps on pushing forward determinedly in most situations.

--Things the character especially likes or dislikes

Likes:
Bright sunrises that wake her up. The feeling of new clean sheets on the bed every Monday night. The soft scent of spring, when the rain has just stopped falling and there is a light misty dampness to the air. Potatoes and cream, especially when said potatoes happen to be scalloped. The daily five o clock reruns of old game shows.

Dislikes:
The very cold and harsh winters that always leave her freezing. Her financial situation and not being able to pay her bills and live well. Redfish of any kind. TV broadcast news.

---Background/History
--History of the character History in Short:
A patient whom she (and many others of the staff as he had a terminal illness and was essentially stuck there for the rest of his days) had grown attached to ended up being euthanized by her under the mistaken trust for the new doctor to the ward who prescribed a fatal dose of a new drug. Even though she protested, saying that it was too dangerous he quickly reassured her that it would be fine, and she went along with administering the drug causing the patient to die. She took the blame completely and never fully got over it. Since then, she has been living on her own with occasional visits from her old high-school friend Ellen, a Muscle-headed Ratel. With Ellen being her only friend, she gets very lonely at times.

---World/Setting
--Details about the world or setting the character comes from
Her world is three planets east of the Lupin home world. It is a multicultural world that looks like 1970’s earth with a diesel-punk motif. A large and industrial based world made mostly of industrial zones and suburbia-esque residential zones. Amidst the large factory dominated cityscapes there are smaller pockets of living space where there are a few shops and usually one large supply store per town, where groceries and other things essential and not can be found. While no permit is needed to open a new store, the permit to own the land is difficult to obtain and very often there are no stores save for the supply store. In the largest city there is a mall, the only one on the planet. It is massive and in fact it is debatable whether it is a mall at all or a city-oriented bazaar.
The southern continent on the western hemisphere of the planet is covered mostly in farmland, and is one of the only places left that is in majority still covered in vegetation.
There is what remains of a rainforest on the north eastern continent, and there are similar forests on many islands in the largest ocean on the planet. Unfortunately these islands are nigh impossible to reach due to difficult currents.
It isn’t to say that there is nothing natural left. In between large settlements there are even larger gaps of literally nothing. In these spaces is either uncultivated land or uniformed forests that were replanted after over deforestation over 200 years prior.
The planet has two moons, while one is less of a moon and more of the strangest anomaly. The little world, a small planetoid in orbit of this planet is inhabited by many different species. Since it had been isolated from the other planet’s people for so long the peoples of either world are drastically different, but share many of the same plants. The people from the little world are much taller, and due to a decreased gravity environment are rather weak comparatively.

---What your character looks like
Harriett is somewhat on the shorter side. About 4’11”, she has a very lithe frame, and she looks rather frail and delicate. She weighs a small amount as well, about 108 lbs. She is commonly seen wearing plaid outfits that look like they are very old fashioned and merely patched together. Possibly all of them are hand-me-downs. She is a Brown Otter with a long tail; it’s about half her body length, oddly enough. Her eyes are a calm green, almost a subdued emerald colour, and she has shoulder length, straight auburn hair.

A stethoscope.
A few needles.
A lab coat.
A bandanna for her hair which she occasionally wears out on hot summer days. She is oft seen tying her hair back up in a bun-like shape using it. The bandanna is red and white and chequered. She also has a blue plaid-like bandanna.
