" Amethyst panted heavily as she ran, tears streaking across her face. Why was she so upset and what was she running from? Her father, Van. She was in love with their guard, Kindrake, even though he was one of their enemies son. Kindrake had left his parents to do what he was destined to do and that was guard the Feron family. Amethyst and Kindrake were cubs when they met eachother and quickly became friends. Over the years, their relationship grew into something more than friends.

Amethyst knew her father didn't approve of it, so the couple tried to keep their relationship on the down-low. But, then came a time when they wanted to have children. Amethyst became pregnant with Kindrake's children. She lied about her growing belly, saying she was just gaining weight until it became too obvious that her belly wasn't from being overweight. When it became obvious she was pregnant, she avoided her father and skipped around questions.

Then came the point where she was tired of hiding. She wanted her father to accept her choice in a mate, so she and Kindrake told him everything. Van did not take it well and ended up in a fight with Kindrake and blowing up at both Amethyst and Kindrake, forbidding Amethyst to ever be with Kindrake again.

Hurt and having never seen such a side from her father before, Amethyst ran off in the middle of the night. Being under stress and running wasn't such a good thing for pregnant liger that was so far along to do.

Amethyst panted and started to slow as she felt her cubs stirring in her belly. She then groaned and came to a stop when a contraction hit her. Her eyes widened with realization and fright. '....No... Not now....I can't be....' She thought. She looked around as she cringed at another contraction. She was in the middle of nowhere, far from home, with no one with her, and she was going into labor! Her legs shook and she reluctantly laid down. She would have to give birth there.... and hope that everything would turn out fine.

She was alone in this...

...No.... She wasn't alone.... She had her children with her, depending on her to bring them into the world. "

Oi, felt like doing some original stuff XD I was struck by the sudden inspiration to do Opals story.
