Seriously, you guys, I have the prettiest snake. Don't tell my other babies, but honestly. I mean, look at her. She's got that motherly glow to her too. *sigh* Babies are due ANY day now.

Oh, I hear you. I just had some ball python eggs hatch today (4 out of 4 pastels, talk about luck!) and I have a big albino boa (bred to a leopard!!) that had her waxy stool this last Sunday. I am ready to pull my hair all out with anticipation. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
My husband bought the woma pair last fall and I was kind of 'eh' about them until we actually had them - but they quickly worked their way to some of my favorite snakes. They have amazing personalities - they are so much more active and 'curious' seeming than any of my other snakes. The blackheads are amazing - have you seen the axanthic blackheads produced in Europe this last year? Amazing.

Nice luck on the pastels! We have one retarded surprise-egg (LOL "probed male" ball python...) that we're trying DESPERATELY to hatch, but it's not lookin' so good. Ember on the other hand looks great, so we're excited about that, indeed.
I want an albino boa SO BADLY, but my fiance won't settle for Kahl strain, so we have to save up for Sharp, so it'll probably be a while, lol.
Isn't it amazing how you can have snakes for so long, and then get completely caught off guard by a different personality? That's what happened with me and my amarali. We got one, and he was AMAZING, so we ended up getting two Miller females a few months later. They're SO awesome.
And OMG those axanthic blackheads are FANTASTIC.
My DREAM snake is a Boelen's Python. OHHHHH god, I want one someday. We have a guy nearby that uses our vet, and our vet has told us he has the healthiest captive bred pair he's ever seen. He's going to breed them in a few years, or at least try to, so we're going to try to get on the waiting list. :3

The sharp strains are so nice, I hope to add one this year. I'm working with blood boas, leopards, sabogaes (true ones), type II/hypo nics, super hypos, high red/orange rainbows, triple het snow/moonglows. We had fertile eggs from the womas this year, but the clutch went bad, which was heartbreaking. Maybe next year! Ooh, amaralis. I love the really dark ones. I've got dumerils, and I'm always having to keep myself away from the different boa species. I'm trying to specialize, but it's so hard.
Boelen's are so gorgeous. There are so many amazing species! I've got most of the snakes (or the ingredients) that are my dream snakes - except for a few boa morphs (did you see the new black-eyed leucistic boas... wow!) motley - aztec - scoria, but someday I'd like to get into GTPs when I've got the extra space. Those blue GTPs make me full of happy. :)
You will have to post photos of your babies when you get them! I'm stuck at work tonight so my husband is sleeping in the snake room anticipating our next litter. :)

Awww sucks about the woma eggs! I'm pretty sure my little ball python egg's gone bad, but I'm going to go through with the incubation and cut, just in case.
OH how I want bloods! SUCH awesome snakes. We have the high orange/red rainbows, some very nice BCIs (I'm such a sucker for hypos, lol) Guyana BCC, the South Brazilian Amarali trio, and some various ball pythons. I really want to eventually do Sharp sunglows, and covet Jungles and Motleys. Those Super Motleys are friggin' AMAZING.
Our SoBraz amaralis are the super blonde ones. Two are totally classic Sobrazes, but the third has this FREAK long tail (she's a long-tailed short-tail boa) and the only way I can describe her is it's almost like she's a super pastel suriname.
Those blue GTPs are SO awesome. Our friend has one he got in a trade, but it's too old to breed. GORGEOUS arctic blue, though.
OMG I'm going to post SO many baby pics when they're born. You have to do the same!

those blonde amaralis are very nice - I love the crazy pattern they have. Super motleys are so amazing. I want to get some Poss. het T+ Nic. motleys this year but I don't know if it's going to happen (will depend on if the DH albino leopards are really there or not!). I want to eventually work only with the dwarf morphs, I think they do so much better for most people than the big BCIs. There's such a huge difference between a 4-5 snake and a 8-10 ft. one!
One breeder not too far from me bought a pair of GTPs for his daughter. Well, 'for' her. They are in a huge display cage in their living room, and all the proceeds from the pair go into her college fund, which I thought was a really cool idea. :)
Are your ball eggs green? They can look really deflated and sad, even be covered in fungus and such and still live (they are amazingly tough!) but if you see any green they're definitely dead. Eggs will get nasty if they aren't alive very fast at inc. temps - so if they aren't foul, don't give up hope! :)

It's a bit smelly, actually, just the top of it though. A few weeks ago, I noticed it kinda got moldy overnight, but we treated it with an antifungal (Got some advice from a local breeder) and it hasn't exactly progressed. I don't know if I'd call it green, but it's definitely fungussy. It's a bit collapsy, but the bottom half is still good as gold. A bunch of people have told me see it through, just in case, so I guess that's what I'll do.
I love the dwarf boas, and they're definitely better for most people. I have people come over and have trouble handling our stubby little ball pythons, let alone our big boa girls! That's one of the reasons we're doing the amarali, because they're smaller. The girls MAX at around 6 feet, and the boys usually end up at 4.
We had a GTP as one of our first snakes a few years ago, and didn't really know what we were getting into. Bought a brick red baby, knew pretty much that they needed humidity, and he'd turn green. We researched like mad, and he was SUPER healthy, but also turned out to be Biak locality, and never EVER calmed down. He would bash his head against the side of the cage if you walked past, even! We worked with him as much as possible, but after a year and a half, he was just bigger, and more angry. In the end, we had to find a more experienced keeper (Simon Tang, who breeds GTPs) but Mr. Crowley's happy over there now. Even Simon was impressed at how vicious he was!
I'd love to get another GTP some day, but preferably not a Biak! I love arboreals, just the way they perch on branches is fantastic. It was always AWESOME to watch him eat.
That is a seriously brilliant idea, GTPs for his daughter! I would love to get to college and be all "Yeah, the pretty green snakes in my room got me here!"

If the antifungal worked, you may be in luck - the dead eggs get overrun by bacteria (that is feeding on the dead baby) and so are green, rotten and foul (unless they're totally dried out) - I've seen some photos of eggs that looked awful (totally covered in brown spots/fungus) and hatched fine. :) It's just that horrible green/turquoise/bright yellow color that means = absolutely dead.
I love the boa locales... I keep being tempted by firebellies, but I don't really have a place for one in my current projects. But they are so pretty! I went to the big Daytona show last year and saw a bunch of Vince Russo's locale boas and was in love. He has some amazing lines. I think that's why I fell in love with the sabogaes - they have the most gorgeous heads and eyes. And their constant color changing is incredible. There was just something about them that drew me back time and time again. I want to try for 'bloody pearls', 'black pearls' and 'pearl leopards' someday. :) I know a lot of people frown on the crosses but really... I like them a lot. It's the same snake, just different areas...
Most of the GTPs I've met have been quite the firecrackers. I watched a friend sex a group of babies and that was quite an adventure! It's sad when they don't calm down - I have one vietnamese blue beauty that is my most persnickety snake out of all of them. She'll strike against the sides of her cage if you walk by half the time and she's so smart and fast. I'm not quite sure I'm looking forward to when she's the thickness of my forearm!

What is she? A rainbow python?
(I'm not good and identifying snakes)
I remember drawing-well really, Inking a snake like that in one of my drawings!
It was such a beautiful snake I tried to make the snake reflect light the way this one was just like in the picture I was using, but it came out a pittiful copy...
I used it in a picture a top Midusa's head (how ever you spell that witches's name...) Anyway, I decided to place two heads on the snake so it would stand out better in the bunch...
Here is a link, and please tell me what you think ;)
