I like the concept but if it was me I would have gone with multi-laser SMG and Marksman Rifle attachment, reduce the parts needed to make it and make it modular.
Still the idea is nice (Your text reminds me of GN-006 Cherudim Gundam primary hand use weapon) and I will admit that I like it.

Holy hell.. it DOES look like it :C I swear, I never saw this Gundam before. Honestly, I was only a fan of the one series that had DeathScythe and DeathScythe Hell, the Heavy Arms, and Tallguise, and that one maroon one with the long whip that got really hot. Those were cool ones. And a -FEW- of the ones from that one series where they were in some sort of boxing match. Never seen the other ones, though I did see a picture from some Gundam Seed or something. Looked pretty sweet :J
Ahh yeah, Gundam Wing. Personally, the movie was pretty bad-ass, though I dont like how they always seem to focus on the emo kid that hates himself and everything else. Like seriously, what is it with Japanimation always focusing around suicidal bi-polar kids with big death machines? Evangelion was another one like that, though much MUCH trippier o.O
