Maybe I'm just weird, but I love looking at earlier works. It's like a visual history on an artist...because I can certainly see how where you started. Even when creating this character your expressions were great. But it would be wrong to say that your style hasn't improved greatly on the shape of the character and on your shading. That border around the figure is an interesting way to create a short fur effect though.

Anyways though, goodluck with the ever constant process of improving...you're already doing some great things.

True, but only to a certain extent. The power over others is only present with someone you created yourself...

arguable statement. while beeing absolutely correct, it is only one side of the medal, or even better - a projection of a 3D model into 2 dimentions. if you would to think globally, with as widest range of a view as you can achieve, you would notice that the stuff artists do can manipulate people. or maybe the people could use the artist's stuff to manipulate themselves('self mood managment'), or to manipulate the artist in the end (mostly in a bad way)!
artists have fans, hordes of them, and it is their will to manipulate those hordes with what they do, change their moods and oppinions, views on life, amuze or depress, etc.
social engeneering is an amusing field to research in, and with talent and social engeneering skills some people can manipulate nations(like Hitler did), even for thousands of years after they die (like Bible - a monument to social engeneering, written by the very best engeneers of that time).
heck, even i have power over you at this very moment. fear me! :) with a litte use of word mangling, a proper vocabulary and a little investigation on you persona, with the help of information gathered from the study of your work, i bet i can change your mood with what how i reply. :) and i bet i can make you horribly depressed or superjoyed, griefed or motivated, etc.

and this is one type of 'power over others' you also posess. there are a multitude of others, some of which you are already capable of... (oooo, spooky! :))

.... which brings us to your Si'itian folk again. how far have they mentally evolved? do they have any 'psychological' weaponry? what is the defence agaist such type of a weapon would humanity have if they were ever to do engage in a galactical war? or the si'itians themselves? do they have any mental powers - and if they do - are they beeing taught to defend their mind and personality from foreign hostile intrusions? how is that structured - are there any 'levels' of defence, any techniques? come one, their race is ancient, they had to develop in every possible direction.
how good is their armour against a rocket launcher? :) how many of them are there? how 'wide' is your world?
how well are their sences developed?
what type of structure their society has? How did they meet with humanity without the latter adopting them as their pets :) and the former annihilating them out of pitty for such weak-minded species :) and to keep the entropy levels down ^_^

No I dun mind ^^ I find these themes very interresting myself, though with control and power, I meant in absolutarian terms.
Sure, you can control nations even the world with proper medial propaganda, like the americans are right now with their pro-america movies. BUT, my power of the si'itian race goes beyond that. I could have a separatist group that goes against the system, I could also irradicate the entire idea and let them live happily in a totalitarian system of opression because they don't know any better. But I do not want to do that. I do not irradicate that, I encourage my thought, every thought that I have thought, flows into my world, everything I have had an idea of exists there.
To a certain extent, the Galaxy I have created is in and out of my control. I choose for it to find it's own way, I have only given the directions for a short part of it, anything could happen with individuals and even entire races somewhere in the middle.

To come to the si'itians.
Yes, they are mentaly evolved, some anyway, only individuals. These individuals are aware of others, but can't control them or assault in any way, communication is as far as it goes and psychological training is only given on request of the psychic. Just because you are psychic it doesn't mean you want to be one.
Psychological weaponry is a questionable issue, countered by the morale of most races, even the Selecinians, who are the most highly evolved species in those terms, question the use of such arms. Most races do however use cortical implants and mindcontrol interfaces for body ex- and intern hardware.
Humans are neither capable of, nor have any idea of how to create psychological weaponry and therefor wouldn't stand a chance if a race would decide to do so.
Si'itian Armour, or at least the heavy infantry issue, will withstand a direct hit from a Frag or Blastrocket, however, you shouldn't be standing in the way of an anti-vehicle missile. The suit you've seen here so far are special forces stealth suits, almost invisible to the naked eye, undetectable to IR or otherwise, vision enhancing equipment.
