Team "Pipsqueak" Chance
Team Pipsqeak as a whole isn't very impressive. This Freshman team is low-ranking, not very powerful, and above all, disorganized. The members (Swirly, Bailey, Scrappy and Happy) have known each other since preschool, they're used to being together as friends, not working as a team. They got their nicknames in a kindergarten game, where everyone was to decide what they were to be called for the day. And the nicknames, well...they just stuck. Their official name is Team Chance, because they were all born July 8th, but they've earned the in-house name "Pipsqueak" for their general small size and mediocre performances. It doesn't help that their entrance music is "Easier to Run." There are plenty of Teams to watch out for in the Academy. With their scrawny disorganized team members and 52% sucess rate, Team Chance isn't one of them.
Seymore "Swirly" Monroe
"Swirly, 'cause it's my favorite icee!"
Swirly is the get-up-and-go guy of Team Chance. Unfortunately, that's all he's really good for. Swirly's job as a supporting battler is to get in, use his Hypnosis, and get out. Despite his useful offensive and defensive attacks (Uproar, Faint Attack, Psybeam, Hypnosis), Swirly gets in the way a lot due to his excitement, often fouling up his teammates. He's a supporting member, but refuses to accept it, always wanting in on the action. His sloppiness has screwed up quite a few battles.
Bailey (and Ed) Evans
"I don't wanna play this...it's dumb."
Bailey is powerful enough, and quite the tactician. With his fairly limited attak set, and unimpressive power, he's a decent fighter, but doesn't have much potential to improve. Or that's what it would seem. Baily has MPD, and his other personality is controlled by his tail, Ed. Ever since his birth, agressive Ed has periodically raised his ugly...self to take control of Bailys entore body. This is signalled by Bailey's eyes glowing blue. Ed is intelligent and obviously sentient. He is as much of a tactician as the real Bailey, and with his sharp teeth and ruthless viciousness, is quite the adversary. If only he weren't always muddled by Swirly's antics...
Hepzibah "Happy" Stripe-McDow IV
"I...um...want m-my...um...my...my nickname to b-b...um...to be Happy. Because...because I'm...I'm...happy I guess."
Happy has always been quiet and docile, and there is no doubt in this world that she'll keep her sweet and gentle nature to the end of her days. However, she does live to tell jokes and play around in class, so despite her bookwormish look, she actually has average grades. She's always been a decent battler, and she holds a hard place as the team's second supporting member. As they have no defentive member, Happy is as good as it gets. Her Toxic and Screech wear down opponents while her Smokescreen keeps them from hitting back. Once the opponent is on their last legs, she moves in for the kill with her Fury Swipes. While her fights are boring to watch, she is extremely effective, and the quite possibly the best fighter of the team. She speaks with a light french accent, and is a hopeless romantacist. She idolizes Swirly's go-getter attutude, and tires to be like him.
Syrany "Scrappy" Bay
"Scrappy 'cause I like to fight."
Mankeys have reputations for being agressive, and scrappy Scrappy is no exception. Always uppitty and ready to start (or finish) a fight, she is the team's main fighter. Unfortunetely, despite her ability to get in quickly and really dish it out, she can't take hits. Her agressive nature won't let her back away from punches either, so she is usually seen in some state of injury. She was a bit ignored in her large family, so she constantly strives for attention through bad behavior. She can't stand being brushed off, and refuses to be ignored, which also contributes to her bad persona.
Yes, the things in parenthaese are songs (with the exection of Bailey's, his is a comedy sketch from Robot Chicken), yes, Happy and Swirly are wearing the same outfit.
