If you're sticking to your scenario, fox need more Tattered Smokey clothes, mostly around the leg area, otherwise, it just seems ironic that his clothes are in tact except for the boots, especially since I think fox would have some gear handy on his ship for such emergencies. That's my opinion anyway, cuz walking in the show with bare paws is totally Murr otherwise
