Well, it's easy to screw up seppuku. Just miss the spine. Then seppuku becomes a looooooong painful process of bleeding to death.

Seppeku was invented in a place where one goal missions were the rule, and honor was expected from everybody in service to your local god. So Human life was considered cheap and failure was to be rewarded with death. The local god was the Shogun or Lord.

I wonder if that's why anime throws around the 'g' word so casually? I mean, take BLEACH- for a bunch of people who call themselves 'death gods,' they seem ill-equipped to do their job.
It seems like they'll give Anything w/ powers beyond that of a mere mortal, the title of god. Pfft, that doesn't make one all powerful... that's not even DIFFICULT!

ooo!? so I'm a 'God' in Japan ooo! I know how to use magic to accomplish a goal, ( It takes a lot out of you you need to convince yourself that a different reality exists, the reality you want). But I don't use it, its easier getting money through the usual channels, but I can do it.
