Practice in working with a softer feel, not so hard and sharp like my usual digital work. I sketched this pup while on the phone with  crssafox today. I liked the sketch, so simple yet so cute, so I decided to try my hand at something soft. I have some awesome watercolor brushes in Photoshop, which made great backgrounds. Then I played with my other brushes until I found something that worked for soft strokes. I wanted to keep the piece loose.

I'd consider it a success, wouldn't you?
