I saw him start this and then bring it to life. All the while him and stickdevil both were talking about how "popping a sketchbook's cherry" was important to bring your A+ game to the first page, because it leads to artists wanting to out do the artist before. Stickdevil apparently commonly does a full color piece for the first page if asked so that other's are 'challenged' to make a better picture than his. Man that conversation was incredible. I love listening to artist go into rants like that.

In other news Stickdevil is like Mystery Science Theater for sketchbooks, had the whole table DYING when he was flipping through sketchbooks that were given to him.

I wish I'd been in the audience for that.

I left the zoo that night with the back of my head in pain. In a good pain from laughing so much.

Dude! Wow, yeah, I'm feeling particularly daunted on our trade, now. How'm I ever gonna draw Jimmy in a way that'll add up to that! *laughs*

Hey, I'm finally back home. I'm glad you liked the picture. LIke I said at the con, I had bene admiring your work for some time and really dig you mouse's design so it was fun to finally find a situation where I could actually draw him for you.

I love Jimmy's muscle definition in this one. Just enough to show he's in good shape and make him look really handsome, while not making him look muscular or buff.

If you ask me, Ebonyleopard's understanding and demonstration of anatomy is always what appeals to me the most.
