Looming an impossible 150 yards (137.16 m) in the air, the N.E.D.3 Angel I is a frightening rusted amalgamation of magically charged metal and soul energy. The Angels have been in Solaris folklore for as long as anyone could remember, used to scare young delian and raussen children into going to bed. Unfortunately, the Angels are very real, but getting them into the plains of Solaris takes quite a bit of determination. They were once summoned by the ancient N.E.D.3, but immediately after The Touch-Down all contact, visuals and other ways of communication was immediately cut. The only things that remain from N.E.D.3 are hastily scrawled warnings in their broken machinery and their forgotten and desolate cities...

The N.E.D. organization has been examining the possibility of a life after death with extensive scientific research. They have uncovered a "Legend"; a 6 pointed metal starfish-esque star map. There are 6 coordinates, each pointing to an Angel Summoning Book. When all 6 Books of Omniscience are brought together at the Alter of Purity, an ethereal portal opens. The portal leads to a heaven-like bliss, but it is gaurded by 6 Angels.
